Privacy Policy for SmartNoteX

At SmartNoteX, your privacy is our highest priority. Our philosophy is simple: your personal note data belongs to you. This policy outlines how all information is handled within the app.

1. Our Core Principle: Your Note Data is Stored Locally

Wgc Inch as the developer does not collect, see, or have access to your personal note data. SmartNoteX is designed to be a private space for your thoughts. All of your note data is stored exclusively on your device's private internal storage, including:

• Note titles and content (including checklists)
• Attached image and drawing files
• Action fields (Phone, Email, etc.)
• Note tags and custom background colors
• Reminders and your secure PIN

2. Third-Party Services: Advertising

To support the app and keep it free, SmartNoteX uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).

• Data Collected by AdMob: The AdMob SDK collects data to serve personalized and relevant advertisements. This may include your device's unique Advertising ID, IP address, and non-personal information about your device and app usage.
• Purpose: This data is used by Google for advertising, analytics, and to measure ad performance.
• Google's Privacy Policy: The data collected by the AdMob SDK is handled by Google. We encourage you to review their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We, as the developer of SmartNoteX, do not receive or store any of this personal advertising data ourselves.

3. Feature-Specific Data Handling

All data export and sharing features are entirely optional and initiated by you.

• Backup & Restore: When you create a backup, a file containing your note data is created in a location you choose on your device. This file is under your control.
• Share as I-Card: When you use this feature, a temporary image file of your note is created in the app's private cache. If you choose to "Share," a secure link to this temporary file is sent to the app you select. If you choose to "Save to Gallery," the image is saved to your device's public "Pictures" folder. The app does not transmit this image anywhere else.
• Share to SmartNoteX: When you share text from another app to SmartNoteX, that text is passed directly into the note editor on your device. It is not transmitted or stored anywhere else until you save the note.

4. Data Deletion

All of your personal note data is stored on your device. The method for deleting it is entirely within your control:

• Individual Notes: Can be deleted by moving them to the trash, where they can be permanently deleted.
• All App Data: To permanently delete all notes, images, drawings, and settings, simply uninstall the application. The Android system will securely delete all of the app's private data.

5. Permissions We Use (And Why)

SmartNoteX requests permissions only for the features that require them.

• Internet: Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to fetch and display advertisements.
• Notifications & Alarms (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To show the reminders you set and ensure they are delivered accurately and on time.
• Run at Startup (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): To reschedule your active reminders after you restart your device, so you don't miss them.
• Record Audio (RECORD_AUDIO): To enable the optional Voice-to-Text feature in the Rich Note editor. Your speech is processed by the device's built-in speech recognition service and is not sent to us.
• Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android versions): To save I-Card images to your device's public photo gallery when you choose the "Save to Gallery" option.

6. Changes to This Policy
If we add features that change how data is handled, we will update this policy.
